CMAs & more
November 10, 2009 at 12:28 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentWell Kenny sure has been low key. We have yet to find any Blue Chair Bay clothing online, though hats are available. Tomorrow night is the CMA awards from Nashville, TN. NOT THE ACMs which have been in Vegas or somewhere like that. We want to wish Kenny & all the other nominees good luck! If Kenny wins Entertainer tomorrow night, he will be the ONLY artist to have won it 5x!

1st contest coming soon
October 28, 2009 at 5:52 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentThis will be the winner’s prize:
We want to hear from you on what you think our very first contest should be! We won’t do it until the semester is over and we have a real break. Finals are coming up in the next few weeks and I have already started on my graphic design final, and I have a lot of things to do so I can finish regular assignments in my other classes to get to those finals.
With no regular tour next year, we will try to do a few more contests with a few prize packages worth up to $5 of Kenny merch, so there might be 2 – 4 objects in each pack!

A Kenny Fact I learned this week

Kenny has co-written music with singer-songwriter David Nail. Nail, draws his inspiration from Ray Charles and Lionel Ritchie. The song he and Kenny co-wrote? Turning Home.
Yesterday KC’s Crew posted on twitter that they have many new followers & would like suggestions on how to celebrate when they reach a 100k. I say they throw a party in Texas. LOL With no bias whatsoever. LOL
Austin City Limits
October 18, 2009 at 1:54 pm | In Kenny, tv | Leave a CommentMost PBS stations showed Kenny on Austin City Limits last night, about 60 minutes of Kenny without commercials, heaven for any big fan like we are! If you missed it due to the late airtime, they didn’t show it in your area or are showing it another day and you’re desparate to watch it, you can see the whole program online. I hope PBS puts a DVD of it & Soundstage on their store quickly!

The coach for the NOLA Saints reportedly parachuted in for an upcoming Kenny video, the song is set to be released sometime next year.
According to the Sun Times, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton recently parachuted into a college football stadium for an upcoming Kenny Chesney video:
There are ways to connect with players or quickly lose a locker room. Earlier this season Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini fined a player $1,700 for grabbing a $3 bottle of water at a hotel without paying for it. Last month Payton parachuted into a Redhawks game at North Central College to shoot a Kenny Chesney music video. (Stine was told the song won’t be released until next summer). Payton also once joked about the Easter bunny — in full costume — keeping up with him during an April road race in New Orleans.
Chesney and Payton have been friends for a long time. Payton let Kenny participate in Saint training camp in ‘07 and ‘08, though this year the coach jokingly told him to stay away in hopes that it would reverse the Saints fortunes.
Come back for the weekend update, and keep requesting “I’m Alive” to make it the #1 song!
NSR Giveaways
October 8, 2009 at 10:05 pm | In Kenny | Leave a CommentSo you like No Shoes Radio? If you want some free stuff, check out these contests!
http://twitter.com/cmilove – Their site (Country Music Is Love) may be down due to heavy server traffic, but they are using the power of twitter for contests. If you retweet, aka tweet what they did, they are giving away some free stuff.
Our friends at Got Country also have some things…
In honor of the final stop of Kenny Chesney’s Sun City Carnival tour in Indy, we want to give some stuff away. No Shoes Radio has been bringing all the excitement of the crowd right to your personal computer during the tour. No Shoes Radio has featured music drawn from Kenny’s own iPod including country, rock, reggae. We cant forget the interviews with Kenny, other members of the tour, and of coarse the fans. Don’t worry though, just because the tour is over doesn’t mean No Shoes Radio will be. They will continue to broadcast through out the year so keep tuning in. The guys were nice enough to hook us up with some great stuff while they made their pit stop last week in North Charleston, SC and now we want to give it to you. Send us an email titled NSR to gotcountry@ymail.com to put your name in for the drawing. EVERYONE will get something until our goodies run out!
And of course you can sign up for your passport (if you haven’t already) at www.noshoesradio.com for the monthly prize pack give aways from NSR & Costa Del Mar!
Week in Review
October 4, 2009 at 7:02 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentHi all, this week we got a little bit of the man himself. He released his new video!
When I first watched the video I was a little disappointed, but then I remembered that the song is talking about life and half if not all of Kenny’s life has been spent on the road.
If I had made the video, the scence would transfer between the home and school of a teenager (girl or boy). They would be having trouble at school with friends, grades and trouble at home with parents. At one point in the scene the teen would be contemplating suicide and then turn on the TV and Kenny would be singing (the same I’m Alive song). Finally the teen will make up with friends and family and it would all end with the Teen graduating.
Or
The scene would be of a man who loses his job and is job hunting with no luck and then the man, his wife and kids separate. The both of them would be tormented etc. Finally, the family would get back together, move out of their big house into a smaller house and live happily (note they still have to move).
So did you like the video? If you could change something about it, what would it be?
